.OI. was started by a professional software developer with an established career but a relative dearth of artistic outlets following the pandemic. The ideal future of the team is to make enough money from Patreon, Itch.io and other revenue streams to quit other work and focus on Dark Temptations and other projects full time, and then be able to hire freelancers or other full-time employees to expand and accelerate the work.
The creators are long-time participants in the kink world with connections to the local BDSM community. This allows for a deeper exploration of kinky content based on a real-life understanding of the importance of SSC, RACK and other well-regarded kink frameworks, and an appreciation for the artistry and psychology of various kink practices and archetypes.
